Providing music for the drinks receptions at weddings has become very popular over the last number of years and comes in a variety of styles. Some couples may prefer a harpist or a string quartet or (as in my case), a singer.
It is a very important part of the big day and is worth considering.
It is the time when wedding guests will have a chance to socialise with friends and family and maybe make some new acquaintances.
After the ceremony the guests will have checked into their rooms and will be looking forward to the chance to relaxing with some small refreshments and catch up with old friends and for many people this can be their favourite part of the celebrations! I can understand that notion totally as over the years I have had countless guests at weddings say to me that they found it very difficult to converse over the volume
of the band or D.J. at night. At the drinks reception in the afternoon however they are free to mingle and chat away freely.
It is also the time of day when the bride and groom and entourage go off to have photographs taken and it is nice when they leave the rest of the guests with some quality entertainment.
If chosen well the right type of drinks reception music will create a great atmosphere and will get the celebrations off to flying start.
